David Dollihite

David has over 30 years of experience in corporate and customer strategy matters, with expertise in growth and innovation, strategic planning, IT strategy, retail energy supply, risk management and administration and implementation of energy efficiency & renewable energy programs. David’s former roles include position with Deloitte Consulting, LP, CLEAResult, Inc. Direct Energy, LP and NRG/Reliant, Inc. David is currently focused on assisting clients in the development of strategy and execution plans for the sustainability, utility, smart city and retail energy markets in addition to developing applications that take advantage of coming Smartgrid and electrification deployments especially in the area of advanced data analytics. David also works closely with the Autonomous Vehicle Association to speed the development of mobility equity with a safe, secure and reliable model.

David was former Chair of the Connected Home Research Council. The CHRC was a cross industry collaborative research group that focused on identifying integration lifestyle solutions for the emerging SmartHome market. Participating companies included Microsoft, HP, Procter & Gamble, Direct Energy, Trane, Cisco and NRG/Reliant Energy. During his tenure as chair CHRC produced several groundbreaking research studies on the integration of energy efficiency and demand response into traditional consumer lifestyle choices.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and is a graduate of The Management Program at Rice University. David has completed additional studies in Strategic Marketing Management at the Harvard Business School. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, two dogs and a cat. He enjoys tennis, golf, cycling, SEC football and spending time with his three children.
