Andrea brings over 16 years’ experience in Smart Grid, Distributed Energy Systems (DES), and Microgrids, with specialization in business model innovation, entre- and intrapreneurship, and digital growth strategy, in a career spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Andrea has held multiple leadership roles focused on grid modernization and innovation, currently as Senior Director of Grid Modernization and Innovation and most recently as Global Head of Distributed Energy Systems & Networks at Worley, the world’s largest engineering services firm in the energy sector. In this position Andrea was responsible for spearheading Worley’s strategy for the Microgrid and broader DES markets, growing these business lines for Worley by over 10x over the past three years, and serving as a leader in innovation, talent development, and coaching of the company’s future leaders. Earlier in her career, Andrea co-founded and led an international smart grid consulting practice as UpGrid, growing out of her work within New York’s Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) Proceeding, while at the New York State Smart Grid Consortium.

As well as her Fulbright Doctorate in Economic, Technical and Social Models for Microgrids, Andrea holds a B.A. and M.Sci. in Engineering, and certification in Digital Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management. She is an experienced and sought-after mentor, coach, and public speaker.
